How is your passive income from Crypto going in 2020? So far I have made around $11k plus from approximately 13 or so sources. Details below.

I remember in 2017 there were epic stories of people making fortunes from free crypto-giveaways – for example, the nano faucet gave people fantastic wealth if they held on all year. Then there were things like the various bitcoin forks – great if you cashed in.
Now in 2020 there seems to be another uptrend in terms of the ability to get “free crypto” – in various ways. Overtime this can build up to quite a lot.
This year I have:
  1. Coinbase earn – I’ve done almost all of these and have had a few referrals. I think I earned maybe $200 or so all up, cashed in BTC, and that BTC is probably around $400
  2. Reddit moons – I have earned 3100 moons, sold for roughly $220
  3. Uniswap – My free 400 tokens are still held, so they are worth maybe $1200
  4. Binance Coin – lots of staking and lottery compensation payments here – for example, I recently sold my Flamingo, Venus and Alpha tokens – maybe $30;
  5. Hex – Yes I know it’s a scam, but I think I bit have a decent little payout in a month when my 90% locked tokens open (won’t say how much as that will reveal my BTC wallet holdings);
  6. Swissborg – A fun little “guess the bitcoin app” that has $50 worth of tokens in it now;
  7. Brave Browser – I’ve earned like $20 from that this year (insert: “Its not much but its honest work gif”);
  8. Uniswap Pools etc – Hard to calculate this one but I’m earning some really great fees and Uni from pooling WBTC and WETH – about 0.5% return a week. Was also previously staking Uni / ETH - I made $1000 in fees but mostly gobbled up by impermanent loss.
  9. Honeyswap – Every 48 hours, I log-in to get free honey from the faucet – around $40 or so;
  10. Survey – I did a phone survey for a local project and got given $100 of free tokens;
  11. Livepeer – No idea what this is but I sold two airdrops for around $20;
  12. Nexus Mutual – Probably the king here. Invested $1200 worth. Received a 58% dividend on the first day of staking (say $700) which I reinvested. That $700 is now $8000 or something ridiculous (and itself earning rewards), plus another 13 NXM (So another $416 on top).
  13. And then lots of rats and mice rewards from things like staking Celsius, staking Tezos referral rewards etc. I even have 3000 of that damn Pi coin thing but don’t know where that is going.
  14. And to top it off a free ledger nano for participation in a private group on FB
  15. (EDIT: I forgot to mention I am currently winning a "pick four" crypto competition that I entered in January where you pick four cryptos and the winner takes the pot. I picked BTC, FTX, SNX and CEL - so that might be another $200 to add to my collection!)
So in all, that is an entire bitcoin just for doing a bunch of crazy stuff. Who said it was difficult to join the 21 million club?
So for some people that might be considered a decent pay package for a full time job! What other opportunities do you guys have where you have passive income coming from crypto? Am I missing any obvious ones here?

Anyone else conflicted about the bitcoin.com widget?

Might just be me but I don't like the fact that Brave browser has allowed this widget which is again an attempt from Roger Ver to trick new users into buying Bitcoin Cash instead of Bitcoin.
I don't like that new people who might become interested in cryptocurrency due to the Brave browser will then see the "Bitcoin.com" widget with "Bitcoin Cash" as preselected option in the widget and potentially fall prey to these kind of scummy tactics the BCH team has used in the past.
Taken together with the whole Binance affiliate link debacle it sort of feels like selling out a bit and it doesn't sit well with me.
Happy to hear other people's thoughts.

Decentr ($DEC) - foundational cross-chain and cross-platform DeFi protocol

  1. SUMMARY
Decentr is a protocol designed to make blockchain/DLT mainstream by allowing DeFi applications built on various blockchains to “talk to each other”. Decentr is a 100% secure and decentralised Web 3.0 protocol where users can apply PDV (personal data value) to increase APR on $DEC that users loan out as part of of our DeFi dLoan features, as well as it being applied at PoS when paying for stuff online. Decentr is also building a BAT competitor browser and Chrome/Firefox extension that acts as a gateway to 100% decentralised Web 3.0
Allows DeFi Dapps to access all Decentr’s dFintech features, including dLoan, dPay. Key innovation is that the protocols is based on a user’s ability to leverage the value of their data as exchangeable “currency”.
  1. KEY CONCEPTS

  1. REVENUE MODEL
A fee is charged for every transaction using dPay whereby an exchange takes place between money (fiat and digital) and data, and vice versa, either as part of DeFi features or via a dApp built on Decentr. They are launching pilot programmes in the following industries:
  1. Banking/PSP Industry: On Product launch, due to Decentr’s powerful PSP connections (including the worlds #2 PSP by volume), a medium-scale pilot program will be launched, which will seed the network with 150,000 PSP customers in primarily the Spanish/LAC markets, generating revenue from day one.
  2. “Bricks and Mortar” Supermarket/Grocery Industry: Decentr aims to ensure the long-term competitiveness of “bricks and mortar” supermarkets against online-only grocery retailers, such as Amazon, by a) building secure tech that allows supermarkets to digitise every aspect of their supply chains and operational functions, while b) allowing supermarkets to leverage this incredibly valuable data as a liquid asset class. Expected revenue by Year 5: $114Mn per year.
  3. Online Advertising Industry: Decentr’s 100% decentralised platform credits users secure data with payable value, in the form of PDV, for engaging with ads. The Brave browser was launched in 2012 and in 8 years has reached over 12 million monthly active users, accented by as many as 4.3 million daily active users.
  4. TOKEN $DEC AND SALE
Decentr recently complete their token sale on a purchase portal powered by Dolomite where they raised $974,000 in 10 minutes for a total sale hardcap of 1.25M. The $DEC token is actively trading on multiple exchanges including Uniswap and IDEX. Listed for free on IDEX, Hotbit, Hoo, Coinw, Tidex, BKex. Listed on CoinGecko and Coinmarketcap. Listed on Delta and Blockfolio apps.

$DEC Token utility:
A tradeable unit of value that is both internal and external to the Decentr platform.A unit of conversion between fiat entering and exiting the Decentr ecosystem.A way to capture the value of user data and combines the activity of every participant of the platform performing payment (dPay), or lending and borrowing (dLend), i.e a way to peg PDV to tangible/actionable value.Method of payment in the Decentr ecosystem.A method to internally underwrite the “Deconomy.

[WRITEUP] Criticism of r/privacy and r/privacytoolsio moderation censorship and how Apple/Brave/Chrome/GrapheneOS cult armies are destroying privacy communities

Hello! I wanted to discuss this on the soon-to-come occasion of 400 subscribers (398 as I write this), but I guess I will do it now, since the time is just right. This is a long post, so embrace yourself. This is an untalked topic, and you will rarely, if ever, find a record or post about the same.
Censorship in privacy communities is ironic, especially when the communities stand as the biggest ones on reddit. A lot of voices either go silent by account deletion and reappearing as new usernames, or they never speak up since they have been effectively "banned" so have no representation. A lot of this can be easily credited to folks breaking rules, which moderation would claim is certainly a need to manage large public forums. However, there is a section of people who criticise the Apple/Brave/Chrome/GrapheneOS cult armies, and this is where the problem starts to rise.

THE FOUR CULT ANTI-PRIVACY ARMIES

APPLE

Apple cult armies are in denial of Apple devices being privacy nightmares due to being closed source blackboxes. These are good for no more than protecting your data from your nosy girlfriend or the neighbour computer whiz kid.
There is plenty of evidence that goes to prove why Apple devices are nightmares for privacy. This is a comprehensive list of links, images and articles for read:

Brave

Brave traffic detected with Cryptocompare despite BAT rewards disabled: https://removeddit.com/privacytoolsIO/comments/gr8nue/
Brave also has a known history of whitelisting Facebook and Twitter trackers, and has a crippled adblocker that does not work on Brave's "acceptable" advertisements.
NEW EVIDENCE (June 6, 2020): Brave Browser hardcoded their crypto partner Binance referral links (https://twitter.com/cryptonator1337/status/1269201480105578496) alongwith Ledger and soon-to-be-compromised Coinbase (https://decrypt.co/31461/coinbase-wants-to-identify-bitcoin-users-for-dea-irs)

Chrome

These people are partly joint with the GrapheneOS cult, primarily due to its lead developer orchestrating all these things in hindsight and his followers purposely sharing his opinion garbage as "facts".
Most of this was debunked by u/saintjohnny (no longer on reddit) here: https://removeddit.com/firefox/comments/gokcis/
Ridiculous things like lead developer accusing firefox of being a "deployed" army against him and 4chan being used to harm his image: https://i.postimg.cc/3RwLT8Nj/Screenshot-from-2020-05-26-23-10-20.png

GrapheneOS

The moderator u trai_dep has taken his time to censor me off completely, so that none of my criticisms can be ever read about his dictatorial moderation and the GrapheneOS discussion I had with its lead developer, who at the end gave me plenty evidence about his rudeness, ironically which was against the rules of the subreddit.
https://removeddit.com/privacytoolsIO/comments/gs4uv7/_/fs2ysdm/
Criticism of GrapheneOS lies on one of his comments about OnePlus and Xiaomi apparently not making good enough devices: https://np.reddit.com/privacytoolsIO/comments/gs4uv7/i_dont_fully_trust_grapheneos/fs82fdv/
There is also the issue that he always claims Google Pixel 3/3a is a must with Titan M chip running non verifiable code that one has to rely on for Google's claim of being same as open sourced code, and that it does not have spyware. And he maintains his stand about developing the ROM exclusively for the Pixel devices, which also house Pixel Visual Core, a proprietary Google-only CPU+GPU unit independent of the Snapdragon SoC and with negligible documentation claimed "only" to be used for HDR+ camera algorithm processing. Google has had a history of lying with things like the Location History toggle, or their known data collection business and known relationship with NSA.

EVIDENCE RECORD

I have managed to collect and create what is an evidence record establishing the fact that select moderators either have some kind of agenda or are destroying the privacy community as a whole on the internet itself.
The below large part is a direct copy of the "Criticism of..." section in my Threat Model writeup in the sidebar.

OTHER ISSUES, CRITICISM OF MODERATION OF R_PRIVACY

Telling me that I am a burden to the subreddit is outright super offensive, in my most humble opinion. Moreover, they have a strong opinionated bias towards Apple (here too), however no reason to complain for their opinions if they talk outside /privacy and /privacytoolsIO where they moderate. Take the mod hat off if you want. To their credit, one of them did confirm they have a light threat model and primary goal is to thwart mass surveillance, around Level 3 in my book.
You will always be criticised for complaining about US and rationally judging Chinese technology, and effectively repeatedly banned by American moderators and muted from modmail everytime you complain about people personally name calling you "Chinese intelligence proponent" or "Chinese/Huawei plant" or "idiot".
I cannot make text posts anymore in that subreddit as of 11/02/2020.
Lots of evidence events happened followed after my smartphone guide linked above: https://imgur.com/a/TqOkQk6
In atomicratsen image, you can see proof of them allowing Sinophobic propaganda in the name of arguments, followed by the last image. So that is another thing allowed here.
Below comment is the admission of being lazy, incompetent and calling actual gilded contributor users "burden": https://np.reddit.com/privacy/comments/enoui9/5_reasons_not_to_use_whatsapp/fe6qgd7/ Just in case comment goes poof, screenshot.
Moreover, one of them made it clear in modmail that Sinophobic propaganda are "arguments" and will go uncriticised, likely patriotism owing to a global subreddit's moderation which seems unfair and caters not to all but to favouritism to a larger US/West EU audience on reddit, as said earlier:
The thing is, making an argument that China is shady is that: an argument. I mean, geez: Hong Kong. Enough said. So long as they're being civil about it, it's actually what this Sub is for.
Do you mention anything related to China or their products in your post? If so, it's fair game, and we expect everyone to conduct themselves like rational adults.
I'll check out the reports, but if they're conducting themselves along the lines of our sidebar rules, I (obviously) won't be taking any action. But I also hope that you don't get drawn into arguments that might end up earning yourself a time-out. We're somewhat patient, but at the same time, we can't spend too many man-hours tending a particular subscriber too much. Our time is volunteered and there are 600K+ subscribers. It's not fair to them.
Is this all fair to me, a cooperating member? If moderation and volunteering time is such a great issue, it would be a good step to take a backseat and discuss this in a rational non-prejudiced and less authoritarian manner. Why not allow others to take part and aid in moderating that subreddit?
They have repeatedly banned me for nonsensical reasons, standing on last warning, and will likely do so after this post (once for claiming this comment means I called the user asshat instead of their comment, when it never violated /privacy 's rule 5, and another comment where I said to use Win 7/8.1 instead of Win 10, mods claimed it as gatekeeping and banned me for 14 days because I am criticising some things they truly love).
New evidence as of few days ago (Feb 11, 2020): https://i.imgur.com/vOyaidS.png

NEW EVIDENCE

(May 31, 2020)

https://np.reddit.com/privacytoolsIO/comments/gtd3pl/fsb0m7f/ Use removeddit or snew.github.io in case the moderator deletes my comments. The modmail message thread (https://i.imgur.com/JwYaGJU.jpg) and my now shadowbanned comment (https://i.imgur.com/uUrMqyk.png).

NEW EVIDENCE

(June 10, 2020)

The moderator trai_dep now wants a sitewide ban on me for what is informing a reddit user of legitimate logical criticism of GrapheneOS. He calls this harassment, as he has done this multiple times with me in the past (unfortunately for which comments are deleted and evidence not being able to be recorded). However, this is taking it too far. https://i.imgur.com/dX73ZNX.png

NEW EVIDENCE

(June 15, 2020)

trai_dep revengefully deletes my famous gilded smartphone hardening no root guide with 1400+ votes. Modmail proofs post with timestamps: https://old.reddit.com/privatelife/comments/h8hsdh/exclusive_rprivacy_moderator_deleted_smartphone/

SELF TAKE ON THE MATTER

This happened with me on privacy, which is a major why I started this community. There must exist a place free of prejudiced bias and free of any forms of bigotry for privacy, truth and freedom loving folks. The fact that the moderators can get away with it by saying nice words after the ban reeks of a dictator that loves to give speech about care of its citizens, yet will slice anyone up. trai_dep and his friends continue to support the bigotry and these cult armies, which is likely because they do not understand nearly any higher order of technical aspect of privacy threat modelling, and have got no education on the same.

CONCLUSION

Privacy communities on reddit are a huge problem when it comes to dealing with the cult brigading, and instead critics are targeted by the cult armies which are let loose in these very communities. privacy and /privacytoolsIO are not true representatives of communities giving good advice for higher privacy and security, unfortunately ruined both by the moderators (many of whom are iPhone users themselves just like trai_dep) and the cult brigade armies.

Fastest and easiest way without a minimum purchase or high fees for customers to obtain NANO? (USA)

Hello Nano community,
Some of you may know me from /nanotrade or elsewhere, I generally am bullish on NANO and try to do my part to help spread adoption and awareness. I also run several e-commerce websites utilizing the open source Zen-Cart as my back end. Lately, and not so lately but in general, I have encountered issues with various payment processors (which actually led me to Nano in the first place, as well as a general interest in Cryptocurrency).
While there are solutions to dealing with the more stringent regulations enforced by payment processing companies, many of these require my customers to download third party apps or sign up for third party services. Not too dissimilar to how Paypal requests a user to be logged in before sending a payment in fact. Anyways, so while setting up my websites again today after losing another payment processor over the weekend, I have come to the decision, why not try and introduce my customer base to Nano and present it less so as a cryptocurrency, but more so as a digital decentralized payment solution? I have tried accepting cryptocurrencies before, however many of my customers, at least for my main e-commerce website are older and not so tech oriented. Just seeing that I accepted "Cryptocurrency" and "Bitcoin" as an option was enough to scare some of these people away. Ironically, I noticed more sales when I completely removed this payment option and all mentions of it from my website. Funny how that works.
Anyways, since I am in the middle of setting up additional payment methods, I figured now would be a good time to attempt the above with Nano, and offer a link on the "Pay with Nano" page during the check-out process for my customers to decide if they would like to try it out. My only concern, many of these people being older and technophobic, is that the process for obtaining the Nano they want to spend may be too much work and not something they would be interested in. Especially if it involves things like scanning IDs or providing more information than a simple credit or debit card number and a name. Ideally, this would be the only information they need to provide, with the ability to purchase any amount (most orders placed are between $25-$100), without paying an outrageous fee (which I will offer an incentive to cover for anyways I think). An instant transfer would also be a prerequisite. Something as fast as it takes to sign up for Cash App for example.
So, am I asking too much? Do such services exist yet in the US?
Quick rundown:
-Low fees
-No minimum or low minimum
-Non-invasive signup process
-No wait
Another thing worth mentioning, and hopefully this can provide the right people with an idea which I think could really help improve Nano adoption if implemented, was that I noticed some competitors of mine are accepting something called "PMC Coin", which is claimed to be a gold backed cryptocurrency. The gold bit is not important I do not think. What is impressive however, is that these vendors are able to provide this crypto as an option during the checkout process, and upon hitting submit, the customer is brought to the PMC Coin website, where they are presented with a form for purchasing this crypto. I have not tried going further than this, but the form contains all the required fields for a credit and debit purchase, as well as the price for the purchase being exactly what the price was for the requested items during the check-out on the forwarding website. It appears that upon purchase, the credit/debit card payment is sent to the PMC Coin sellers, and the PMC Coin in an equivalent amount is sent to the vendor. I assume the fees are offloaded onto the vendor at this point. While I have no interest in this asset in the slightest, I have to commend them on this solution, and I really hope we can see something like this emerge from the Nano community. It could be the killer app we have all been waiting for to spur adoption perhaps.
I will essentially be manually doing something like this for my customers, albeit with links and instructions, however as mentioned, the more streamlined the process is, the better. I am sure they will have an easy enough time with Natrium, and I am excited to introduce some new people into the space. But most of all I just want a simple ability to be able to keep my shop online without having to bow down to the banks and their petty requests as to what products should or should not be sold. None of us should have to deal with the Soup Nazi, be us merchants or consumers.
Thank you for your time and interest, and remember, stay bullish!
::edit::
Spreads I have found so-far:
CoinGate: 100 Nano = $114.76 vs. $97.44 USDT (Binance) [$17.32 fee] [$50 minimum] (Simplex)
Atomic Wallet: 100 Nano = $115 vs. $98.40 USDT (Binance) [$16.60 fee] [$50 minimum] (Simplex)
Crypto.com: Claims 3.5% fee, requires government photo ID, 2-3 day confirmation
Coinswitch.io: 100 Nano = $117 vs. $99.28 USDT (Binance) [$17.72 fee] [$63 minimum] (Simplex)
Coinify.com: 100 Nano = $119 vs. $114 USDT (Binance) [$5 fee] [$63 minimum] KYC is intensive but not too crazy. 2 Minute verification too. Definitely the best option so far. Only problem is the minimum purchase.
Going to try Binance.us next and the Brave browser, which I think uses Binance as a backend anyways.

Earning cryptocurrencies with "Horizen Academy"

A new type of Faucet makes its debut thanks to the combination of crypto Zen and the Binance exchange. We anticipated its existence in our introductory article and from today, thanks to this, it will be possible to earn cryptocurrencies with Horizen Academy. You can also send the claim reward to a personal wallet that Horizen itself makes available on a page that lists those that support the crypto:

https://www.horizen.global/wallets/

Earn cryptocurrencies with Horizen Academy
Once you have made the necessary registrations, you will be able to access the home page that will immediately show the faucet that will reward you with the ZenCash crypto. The procedure is very simple: enter your Zen address taken from Binance or your personal wallet, solve the captcha and make the claim. You can do it every 20 hours.

If done every day, the multiplier at the top will start to rise from 1.2x up to 2x. On the fifth consecutive day the bonus round will be activated that will allow you to win up to one Zen. By associating your social accounts with Zen's, you will further increase the multiplier.
You will get a later augmentation of the applicator by verifying your Horizen address (via app or Sphere for desktop) or by downloading the Brave browser.

The top menu offers the classic useful links:

- Referral, to generate your referrals URL. Each time one of your subscribers makes the claim, the "Claim Now" button will appear next to their nickname. The video on the instruction page will help you understand better.

- Support, opens the page for technical support, the Horizen Service Desk.

- Instructions, is a complete list of instructions and insights on the faucet and on the site itself. Much more than a simple FAQ section. Enriched with several videos that will remove any doubts that arise in your mind when you browse the site.

The Horizen Academy.

For more information you can visit the official website of the project at the following link:
https://academy.horizen.global/

The Horizen academy was created with the aim of sharing and deepening blockchain technology with all fans, both for beginners and for those already knowledgeable on the subject. The site offers 3 levels of detail. The project is very interesting and definitely worth dedicating a little time to it.

We greet you again remembering that we are always available for any advice or changes to our articles. See you soon!

I had never even heard of xsolla before.
I noticed that on my PC, after accidentally clicking a pack, that there was an option to pay with BitPay.

Sweet!
Having acquired some crypto from using the Brave browser, I decided to look into it and found out it was legit so I opened a bitpay wallet on my phone and converted the BAT that they give you for allowing ads and from Reddit and Twitter tips into XRP(Ripple) on Binance and sent it to my BitPay wallet. I used XRP because the transfer fees are minuscule compared to Bitcoin or Ethereum and I hate paying those huge miner fees. Sometimes $4-$5 a pop.
Anyhow, over the last few months I had socked away quite a bit and was able to buy the Void Pack for $69.99 CDN and it didn't cost me a cent of real money. I still have some left so I will definitely be saving up again for the next sacred 2x or some other deal.
I still don't understand why more people don't take advantage of the free crypto that's available, and I don't mean the Discord scammers that are offering a chance of a lifetime. I guess it's because it is new and unknown, and there have been some scams involving crypto but there are scams anywhere money is involved. If you want to learn more, let me know but I'll quit boring you here, I was just excited to get all this for just a little bit of time.

Ahhhhh yeah.

Brave and Uphold?

I'm a noob forgive me, but I have been working very diligently to educate myself. This will be a two-pronged question. Firstly, I am now using the Brave browser and created a crypto wallet through Uphold (i think this right but also i'm unclear of the distinction between Uphold and Binance). Is this a safe medium to purchase and store bit coin? I understand it may not be the safest, but I currently only own robin hood bitcoin derivatives so this may be a step in the right direction...secondly, if this is not an ideal platform to be using, can people provide some helpful links to put me down the right path?

Brave Browser: TRULY FASTER - The browser that rethinks the web

Brave Browser: TRULY FASTER - The browser that rethinks the web
The Brave browser is very new to the browser scene but they are seriously making a huge thing in the market. Not only promising and insanely fast speed beat out Chrome and Firefox but also security and privacy built in by default for the user. Is this all just hype, is it there is something to it and why most people switch to Brave.

For the record, Brave Rewards, BAT, Brave Ads & anything cryptocurrency related is DISABLED by default. This is a big misconception as these features are OPT IN and completely optional to the user.
The browser you currently using loaded with trackers, cookies and other data collection parasites that is constantly following you when you are browsing your browser. What if instead of being used, you were actually rewarded for your regular internet usage. What if you could limit your ads. Wouldn't it makes internet a better place. That's why i use Brave browser. Brave doesn't collect my browsing data in fact my data never leaves my device. Bitcoin for Kids - A HowTo via CashApp

Non-KYC options are listed below, but assuming you have a willing parent or guardian, here's an example of how that would work for a minor in the US via CashApp. Ensure your upfront with the parent or guardian as to what your doing.
  1. Get a summer job with some source of direct deposit income.
  2. Ask your legal guardian to help you open a "Youth Spending" checking account also called UTMA.
  3. Ask for a debit card attached to the account.
  4. Have your summer job paychecks direct deposited to the account.
  5. Download the CashApp and link it to your phone number AND email.
  6. Link the CashApp to your Youth Spending Debit card and checking account.
  7. Attempt to transfer $25 from your debit card into your CashApp, assuming you have the money.
  8. Ask your guardian to fill in their SSN when prompted.
  9. Attempt to buy $20 in stock, ask your guardian to answer the questions.
  10. Go to the Bitcoin section and click to enable bitcoin deposit and withdraw.
  11. Ask your guardian to scan their license and take a selfie.
You can also apply for a CashCard which you can add to Google Pay, Android Pay, Garmin Pay, or whatever. Once all the verification are done (a day or two) you will be able to buy and sell US stocks and bitcoin in the app for a 2% fee. For all of these steps, questions about identity, name and address should all be answered as the guardian, not the minor. So the account name is in the name "Adult Smith" not "Minor Smith". Same with SSN and ID checks. You can choose to put your name on the face of the CashCard and Debit Card since this carries no legal weight. The accounts are all still legally in your parent's or guardian's name.
For even lower fees you could ask your parents or guardians to KYC through Binance, Kraken, Gemini or Coinbase to link your checking account to a real exchange.
For those with guardians or parents that would not agree to KYC for you, here are some non-KYC options, though the fees are much (much) higher than 2%.
Please remember that bitcon is easy to steal. Since minor's have limited standing in US courts, most exchanges don't want to deal with them. If you proceed there is a 100% chance that someone will try to scam you. Make sure you catch every scammer you encounter, or you will go broke fast.

Few thoughts about Brave & BAT

BAT (brave browser token) is seriously slept on, hear me out.
  1. Brave is the most popular crypto application, gaining serious traction lately, these numbers are impressive: https://batgrowth.com/
  2. In many ways, a browser can and in most cases are an entry point to the internet, its not unreasonable to think that a browser could position itself as the entry point to crypto for millions of users.
  3. There are many advantages of being the entry point for a huge chunk of users, for example, how does a wallet addon survive if Brave creates its own native noncustodial wallet? How about a Dex.. The list goes on. The guy who controls the entry point has a lot of power. No one is positioned better than Brave in that regard.
  4. The BAT token is slowly being integrated all over, no other similar token is even close. Once they reach a certain level of adoption it will be extremely difficult for anyone to compete. Similarly to how social media platforms have a lock on their segment, the users themselves become a huge incentive and growth driver.
  5. Brave browser has a truly revolutionary element to it, users can earn real money by allowing ads. Not only that users can choose to donate/reward their favorite content creators directly, either auto or manually. No one else does it, the closest anyone has ever come to something similar is rewarding a few % worth of coupons.
  6. Brave users can earn serious money, you can earn more by browsing the web than what the poorest 1billion of people on earth earn by working. Think about that for a second. (You would have to exclusively browse brave verified websites, but with so many publishers joining I frequently land on sites that are verified)
  7. Brave also has a powerful and honorable mission, to protect user's privacy and remove the status quo with massive privacy-intrusive practices of selling users data. Something that is slowly becoming a mainstream concern.
  8. The Bat token has several very healthy mechanics that could see it take off. First of all, every advertiser would have to buy the Bat token to pay for their ads to be displayed. This creates volume and continuous demand.
  9. But what many fail to realize is that with BAT there will be a MUCH larger loss of coins than any other crypto, millions of people having various devices where they have earned a few Bat, they lose their phone, forget about the wallet.. They haven't paid for anything, they may not even know it could become valuable. No idea how to estimate the numbers yearly but it has to be a ridiculous amount of tokens that exit circulation.
  10. If Brave continues to grow, BAT could take on new lifeforms. It would be the cryptocurrency most people have available at their fingertips. It would make sense for all sorts of merchants to start accepting it. Especially those merchants that sell inexpensive services such as VPN, domains, streaming and so forth. Brave could also incorporate scheduled billing easily, ability to swap to/from other tokens, lend out Bat, Loan Bat, all defi.
  11. Brave might become one of the most important entry points as outlined above, that would give huge incentives for other projects to accommodate and cater to BAT holders, similarly to how Binance, for example, enables airdrops and various incentives given to their costumers Brave could also encourage new partners to create advantages and perks for BAT.
  12. BAT protocol is separated from Brave, so other browsers and unaffiliated tech could join the ecosystem and instantly gain value from the already widespread existing use of BAT. Its a genius by Brave to have structured it this way imo, it drastically increases the chances that BAT could become the default "attention token".
  13. If Bat accomplishes its goal, it will see a Bitcoin-like growth in value, in fact, it could bc of its unique positioning/angle overtake and become more widely used than bitcoin itself. We could also speculate that the BAT wallet ultimately would allow for Bitcoin atomic swaps, enabling users to earn Bitcoins or Eth instead of BAT if they choose. (With a slight penalty or burn I would assume)
